guilt-free weekend planning

This past week has been very rainy and uncharacteristically cool, so if the weekend holds more of the same, then holing up in my home and crafting the weekend away sounds like the best way to spend my time. After spending the morning cleaning the house from top to bottom, I know I'll have a guilt-free weekend knitting, crocheting and/or sewing.

"Dust bunnies? I sucked those up on Friday, there are no dust bunnies!" "Clean undies? Just look in your drawer, pal! Mama is busy crafting!"

Besides trying to figure out what in the world to make from this Twist & Twine yarn (colorway: Orange Blossom), which I won a while ago from a giveaway at Amanda's lovely blog

…I know I'll be struggling to make doll clothes, which is exactly as difficult as I thought it would be.

Any suggestions for the fingering weight yarn are welcome!

Lastly, due to some ongoing health issues, I'm scheduled to go into the hospital early next week for a brief procedure. I've only ever stayed in the hospital when I gave birth, and I've never been put under before, so I'm kind of nervous. Although it should be minor, I'd still appreciate any prayers, well wishes, healing thoughts, etc. and I hope to be back very, very soon.

Happy weekend, all!

Your blog is terrific! I enjoy the way you have it set up and all of the pictures and links on the side! I'll be sure to say a prayer for you. The hospital is always scary - no matter how small the procedure is. All my best wishes for a speedy recovery.

I hope everything goes well for your procedure. I hear knitting is very soothing! Heh heh.

And that yarn is delicious. I wonder if a certain doll with orange clothes would like a matching hand knitted cardigan?

I will be praying for you while you are in the hospital. I think you saw the shawl I'm making with my yarn (cinnamon rose). That's my recommendation. Oh and the yarn is heavenly to knit with. Take care!

I need to take a page out of your book and get all the chores done BEFORE the fun bit. My house could use a bit of guilt free crafting, too. I had the same thoughts as Rose Red because the pretty colors of the yarn matches the fabrics that you chose for the doll's clothes. Good look with the procedure and recovery afterwards. Make sure to bring some good books and your knitting. I will be sending healing thoughts your way,
