:: Socks, which were finished almost a month ago, and really should've been blogged before now.
:: Yarn is Lorna's Laces in sand ridge.
:: I've had this yarn forever and can't believe it took so long to knit socks with it.
:: I am loving all the fun, bright nail colors available now. Although I'm past the age of mini skirts and staying up all night, I can still enjoy a colorful manicure.
:: Happy that no one tells me I'm too old for that.
:: Maybe the group of 13 year-old boys I'm chaperoning on an out-of-town trip this week will tell me that.
:: I hope not, as I'd hate to leave anyone behind.
:: The only downside to painted nails is that I can't knit while the polish dries.
:: The upside is I can still read a book...and enjoy a glass of wine.

Ha, all my nail polish is red!

I wonder if it is too early for a glass of wine...I suppose I should really wait until husby is home!

Loving the nail colours :) I just bought a Konad nail stamping kit - pretty patterns made easy, plus the polish dries almost instantly!

I'm pretty hopeless at painting my nails, mainly because I'm always too impatient to wait for it to fully dry and therefore smudge it ;(

You are NOT too old for a colorful manicure! I am wearing hot pink painted on by a three year old!
Have fun chaperoning 13 year olds; that will keep you young!

I have turned into a nail polish junkie over the past months. My favorites are glitters. It's like i have ten magic wands on my hands.

You are never too old to do whatever you like with your nails. Love how you would "hate to leave anyone behind". Ha! What polish did you use? You know I love a nice bright one.

so true. sometimes knitting can take a back burner for beauty ;-) especially if wine is involved. yes, especially in that case.

also, i love that lornas colorway. so pretty!

I thought I was the only one who purposely painted one nail a different colour! Looks unexpected and cool, I think!

Love the colors of the socks AND the nails! We are never too young to have fun with nail polish. Thanks for the terrific excuse to not cook dinner tonight. Now I just have to find my stash of polish :)
