Several weeks ago, when radio stations began playing Christmas tunes 24/7, I was not ready for it to be Christmastime already. That was early November, way too early, IMO. But now. Now, I'm ready, oh so ready for it to be Christmas. Is my shopping done? Not even close. Is the Christmas Eve menu finalized? Ha ha, no! Did I finish any holiday craft gifts? Sadly, nope on that one, too. But the excitement is building, the energy is there and my favorite time of year is happening now. With so much to do and so little time, I'll be as scarce around these parts as I've been lately, but I hope to change all of that in 2012.
P.S. I have three boxes of Christmas cards that I can't find anywhere in the house.

Happy Birthday!!!! I did find my Christmas cards but do not feel like sending this year. So I am waiting for the motivation to hit. My shopping is almost done.....almost. Love your holiday decorations-so festive!!!

i wasn't ready for christmas either but the mr. and kids put up the decorations saturday after turkey day while i was out. i've embraced it, am ready now ;-)
Oh, Missy. I did not know you were a December bday, too! Knew I loved ya'. Anyway, I was out celebrating yet another birthday last night, so it's ALMOST like I raised a glass to you then. Early November is way too early and I loves myself some Christmas music. We turn ours on the day after Thanksgiving. So glad you are ready now. I have lost so many things lately. I have no clue where they are and I called myself putting things up carefully. That's probably why I can't find it. Good luck finding your cards and getting your crafting done!

I did not have it together to send a Christmas pic of my girls this year b/c we were hit by the stomach flu around Thanksgiving so we'll do a Happy New Year card or something next year. Why not a HNY card from you instead of stressing yourself out and trying to get them cards out now.
Happy 41! Do something fun for yourself and enjoy your day! I love this time of year, too, even though I feel like a turtle trying to catch up to the hare. One of my most favorite things about the season is putting up holiday decorations. Yours is so festive. And now I need to do my least favorite thing...shopping at the mall :(

I still have not had the Christmas spirit hit me,it's hard when it's so hot and my tree isn't up yet. I really must put it up this weekend.

My plan is/was to make my holiday cards, however I become so tired when I remember I need to get started.. so yeah holiday cards are still waiting to be done. Also took the day off to holiday shop, but didn't buy one gift today... uggh. I have yet to put up the tree and the family is already saying they will not take it down... ummm why even bother putting it up. However, I wanted to hand paint ornaments.
