I tried to think of a way to continue knit-blogging (because I like it, because it's fun & I've "met" some incredibly nice, creative people this way), but until someone invents a device that adds about 5 hours to the day, I can't keep it up.
Now that my book is finished & I'm seeking a publisher, my time to do anything else but that has dwindled down to nothing. Knitting has taken a backseat these past few weeks & while I know I'll always love to knit, it's had to become more my when-I-can-get-to-it hobby instead of an all-consuming pastime. Because next is going to be promotion & then working on novel #2.
Right now, due to budget constraints (read: I am broke), I've had to design my own website. There are some things in this world that my brain wasn't hardwired to do: understand rocket science, grasp the mystic forces in the universe that keep Sanjaya on American Idol, and design websites. I like to think I'm not stupid, but this site building thing is making me re-evaluate myself. To that end, I've been working on that nonstop & reintroducing myself to all the writers groups I belong to.
When I first started blogging last year, it was mainly as a way for me to make myself knit more & keep track of my projects. And I did both, along with joining one of the best blog communities in the world. This was a very difficult decision for me, to shut down this blog, but if I'm going to do what I was hardwired to do, I have to make some sacrifices. Sadly.

Socks for Nettie
This blog will be here for a while longer (while I pull myself out of various webrings, etc.) & you can always reach me via e-mail (in my profile). Plus, my writing blog isn't going anywhere & I'll still be around the 'net, just in a different capacity.
A fond farewell, from this blog only, to the best people in the world: knitters (and crocheters, too, Sheila and Judy ;-).
On to more adventures......
